Even professionals start off small. The KTM 85 SX 2013 is the perfect tool for mucky devils and those who want to become one. With its completely revamped chassis, new bodywork and a further refined, more powerful engine, it's more competitive than ever before.

FEATURES

ENGINE »
The sensational engine on the KTM 85 SX has been completely overhauled for 2013 and delivers its power over a wide rev range thanks to its intake membrane and intricate exhaust control. The six-speed transmission always has the right gear ratio available. No coincidence that the KTM 85 SX is the king of holeshots in junior MX race series.

CYLINDER HEAD & PISTON »
A completely new, more compact cylinder with 47 mm bore ensures that the new 2013 KTM 85 SX achieves much better cylinder charging, thanks to the more efficiently designed, centrifugally-controlled exhaust valve. Together with a new cylinder head, which is now also connected to the frame, the new engine therefore produces significantly more power from mid-range to top-end engine speeds.

FRAME »
The new, high quality, chrome-molybdenum steel frame and the redesigned, bolt-on, lightweight aluminium subframe have been further refined in many details. As on the full-size bikes, the frame on the KTM 85 SX 2013 impresses with more precise cornering characteristics. Additional aluminium profiles ensure better stability.

CHASSIS »
The proven 43 mm upside-down fork with 270 mm suspension travel and the improved PDS shock absorber ensure optimum traction and suspension comfort on the KTM 85 SX 2013. Rebound and compression damping can be adapted individually to track and rider in no time at all.

BODYWORK & GRAPHICS »
The restyled, aggressive looking bodywork provides improved ergonomics and is directly derived from the new SX generation. Together with the frame, the tank, spoiler, airbox and newly developed seat form a homogenous unit, ensuring perfect harmony between rider and motorcycle.
