CHASSIS




OVERVIEW



100% Supermoto, 0% compromise. The 690 SMC is all about performance, thanks to razor sharp engineering, in combination with state of the art technology. Unrivalled in everyday riding and on the race track.


REAR END



Revolutionary, self supporting rear fender/fuel tank unit made from robust plastic. The lockable tank with an integrated fuel pump holds 12 litres and passenger foot rests are supplied.


FRONT END



The flat front mask is a winner with its extra light weight head light (H4 bulb with a scratch proof coating) and multifunctional cockpit instrumentation: a digital Speedo, tachometer and much more.


EXHAUST SYSTEM



Built with straight alignment, the powerful single header pipe connects the cylinder to the stainless steel silencer, where a regulated catalytic converter assures compliance with the Euro 3 emissions limits.


SEAT



Stretching to the steering head, the sporty, elongated seat guarantees maximum freedom of movement. Just release the cable noose and the air box and electrical system are accessible.


SHOCK ABSORBER



The WP shock absorber, with a suspension travel of 265 mm and integrated compensation tank has adjustable compression and rebound damping as well as an adjustable spring preload and is attached by means of a Pro Lever Linkage system.


BRAKES



Maximum braking performance built by Brembo! A 320 mm floating disc bites with its radially bolted, four piston fixed calliper at the front and a single piston, floating calliper with a 240 mm disc at the rear.


FRAME



Developed with the latest calculation and simulation technologies. The result, a structure that weighs a mere 8 kg, made of thin walled, chromium molybdenum high tech material. This most innovative and extremely stable tubular space frame sets new standards.


ENGINE


OVERVIEW



Perfect engineering, compact construction and light weight make this powerhouse a trendsetting guarantee for highest performance and impressive power. The numbers speak for themselves: 654 cc, 62 hp. The performance says it all.


OHC CYLINDER HEAD



Overhead camshaft, weight and rigidity-optimised rocker arms, as well as extra lightweight, hollow shafted valves on the exhaust side – a construction that guarantees unrivalled performance and the greatest reliability.


CLUTCH



The APTC™ anti-hopping clutch prevents the rear wheel from chattering during braking. Under load, the pressure on the clutch linings increases. This reduces the hardness of the clutch springs and the required hand grip strength.


BALANCE SHAFT



Another important detail of the engine is the central balance shaft. Due to its special positioning, it effectively reduces vibrations to a minimum.
