If there's one constant in Australian freestyle motocross it's Matt Schubring. One of the original Aussie freestylers, Schuie has done a lot for the sport and his fellow riders. His riding compounds are legendary throughout the world and feature in many FMX films. Schuie's trademark fluid, effortless style has seen him compete all over the world and of course be the first Aussie to join the Crusty Demons of Dirt live shows.

Matt currently rides Freestyle Motocross at the elite level on an international scale. Freestyle Motocross is only a relatively new sport, and Matt has been at the top of it since the early years in Australia.
Matt has now been a major part of 10 Crusty World tours riding in front of over 1 million fans, the largest number of any touring company in Australia.
Between 2004 and 2008 Matt won almost every competition in Australia which saw his status rise to being voted Rider of the Year by Freerider MX magazine 2 years in a row, earning the respect not only from the fans but of the top industry professionals of motorsport in Australia.
Matt’s achievements in the sport have opened up the doors for fellow Australian riders to now be noticed and given opportunity once thought impossible.
In 2003 Matt held his first event at the Boonah showgrounds called ‘Back to Basics’ featuring Australia’s top riders in a competition format. After the success of attracting thousands of spectators, Matt’s next idea was to hold a weeklong of riding at his world-class training facility in 2006, with a one-night only show to the public in 2007 called Schuie’s Summer Sessions. In 2008 with the opening of his fiancée’s new shop in Boonah, Matt organised a Free street demonstration with local and American riders with jumps in the main street of Boonah. Later in the 2008 Matt held his 3rd main event, ‘Schuie’s Winter Warmer’ at his private property which was based on building a Mini-bike racing track bigger and better than ever seen before and opened it up to the public.
The latest movie by the Crusty Demons of Dirt, ‘Crusty 14’ has boosted Matt’s profile world-wide and features Matt performing a back flip on the cover of the DVD and a full segment from his 2 main training facilities in Boonah.
Matt has kept a high profile in the Australian motorcycling scene with his regular column in Freerider MX magazine, gracing the covers of motorbike magazines and many posters throughout the years.
Matt is very business savvy. Matt and his wife Lesley own and operate a small retail shop in Boonah. Matt also operates two businesses outside of his riding.Motosolutions track design and construction and Little Schuie Toy co, a toy company he started in 2010 which creates a replica of Matt’s SP Tools KTM Freestyle bike and a Schuie figurine which is due to hit shelves May/June 2011.
